Great Barrier Feast on Hamilton Island
Hamilton Island Great Barrier Feast Food and Wine Series
Near to entering its third year, Hamilton Island’s highly successful Great Barrier Feast includes a series of separate haute cuisine weekends at qualia, offering guests the exclusive opportunity to immerse themselves in a truly intimate ‘behind the scenes’ experience and learn directly from a world-class chef in a world-class setting.
Hosted by highly respected restaurant critic and columnist Simon Thomsen, each gourmet weekend begins on a Friday evening with a welcome dinner designed by qualia’s Executive Chef, featuring wines paired by renowned wine critic James Halliday. The following day guests can attend two Electrolux Masterclasses to broaden their knowledge of the unique techniques and processes used by these highly acclaimed chefs which make them the individuals that they are. As the sun begins to set, a showpiece dinner held at qualia’s Long Pavilion allows guests to watch a world-renowned chef prepare their culinary delights step-by-step via a live camera link-up from the kitchen.
Renowned Sydney chef Guillaume Brahimi of Bennelong will be joining us at qualia to headline the first Great Barrier Feast weekend for 2012. Read more and reserve your place online.
