Minimum Ages	Individual Competitors must be a minimum of 16 years old as at 31 December 2012 Team Competitors must be a minimum of 14 years old as at 31 December 2012
Catergories	Individual Open No qualification required. First 3 across the line. Open place getters are not eligible for age group prize. Individual Age Group Age as at 5th May 2013. Under 29 30-39 40-49 50+ Further age group breakdowns subject to entry levels Harvey World Travel Relay Challenge Corporate division Any gender breakdown qualifies subject to all team members being employed by the same business/company/department Open Males Open Females Open Mixed Junior Race A choice of three distances to compete in depending on ability and experience. The kids distances are as follows: Option 1 –3000m run Option 2 –1500m run Option 3 – 750m run Entry is $25 per child and can only enter one race as they all run simultaneously
Pre Event Participation	You must ensure that you have trained sufficiently and are physically capable of completing the event within your current level of health and fitness. You must also ensure at all times during the event that you are performing well within your level of skill and ability for each of the three disciplines. To not abide by these conditions can create potentially dangerous situation for yourself and other competitors
Competitor and Team Registation	Registration for all competitors will take place on Saturday 4 May – 2.00pm – 5.00pm at the Sports Club and Sunday 5 May – 6.30am – 7.15am at the Hesperus located on Front Street, next to Manta Ray Cafe. Please bring a printed copy of your receipt. It is compulsory for all athletes to register during this time. You must show identification (Drivers License, Passport etc).You will receive your race pack during this time which includes your Hilly half race singlet and other sponsor products.
Race Briefing / Race Start	There will be a pre-race briefing at 7.15am on Sunday 5 May for all competitors directly before the start of the race. The briefing will be held at the Hesperus located on Front Street, next to Manta Ray Café
Rules	Any Athlete seen to be taking a shortcut during the event will be disqualified. Ipod use is allowed but only one earphone is permitted to be worn to allow ease of communication with officials
Withdrawals	Withdrawals prior to the event must be in writing – email events@hamiltonisland.com.au0 If you withdraw on race day before race start, please advise an Official. The cancellation fee is 100% should you pull out the day of the race. If you withdraw during the race, please report to the Hesperus and advise the Officials that you have withdrawn. The cancellation fee is 100% should you pull out during the race
Changes to Entry	Changes can be made to your race entry prior to the event day via your event website login
Cancellation Fee	50% of your entry fee up until 5pm on Thursday 2 May. NO REFUND after 5pm Thursday 2 May.
Cruise Whitsundays Ferry Transfers	We are currently looking into a reduced ferry transfer rate and will have more information here in the coming months.
Medical Insurance	It is strongly advised that you take out personal medical insurance for the duration of your stay, especially for international competitors. Under the Australian Health Act, all non-Australians are not covered financially for personal injury. If you do have an accident you must pay for your own medical expenses. Therefore it is essential for you to obtain adequate personal medical insurance.
Results	Race Results will be available on the website.
