A Design Masterpiece Inspired by the Soaring Silhouette of Full Sails
The Hamilton Island Yacht Club, designed by the celebrated Australian architect Walter Barda, is set to become an icon across the domestic and international landscape, reflecting a distinctive and authentic Australian style. Importantly, it is set to further define Hamilton Island as an Australian and international boating mecca.
From the tip of the aquamarine leaves of its patina copper roof, to its expansive cantilevered terraces that stretch over the waters of the Marina and Dent Passage, it is a design triumph that is fast becoming the centre of lifestyle and boating for the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef.
The signature design features a stunning copper roof which sits over the Yacht Club, encasing three levels of vast facilities.
A design masterpiece, the shape of the roof is inspired by soaring silhouettes of full sails and is a celebration of marine lifestyle.
The Yacht Club offers an array of facilities including:
- Indoor/outdoor restaurant and bar jutting over the marina
- Members-only area
- Bar and reading room
- High-tech gymnasium
- Indoor lap pool and saunas
- Blackout auditorium
- Extensive conference, function and wedding facilities
Luxury Yacht Club Villas
The Villas that accompany the Hamilton Island Yacht Club reflect Barda’s vision of an informal ambience and beauty that makes the most of the unique island setting. The 35 stand-alone Villas, with natural timbers and sweeping lines which draw on thematic elements from the local environment, start from $2.9 million.
The Hamilton Island Yacht Club Villas are set over three or four levels, and capture spectacular views of Dent Passage, Whitsunday Passage and the mainland. All include a spacious open plan living/dining room; state-of-the art gourmet kitchen with Miele appliances; four bedrooms and four bathrooms, comprising: master suite and walk-in robe and bathroom, two additional double bedrooms with ensuite, and a fourth bedroom/flexible space or media room. In addition, the Villas have separate laundries, fully ducted air conditioning and a private golf buggy.
The landscaping has been designed by internationally recognised landscape artist Jamie Durie, rounding off a distinctly Australian feel.
