Purchasing Gift Vouchers:
Please do not proceed to purchase/use your Hamilton Island gift voucher until you have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions. When you purchase and/or use a Hamilton Island gift voucher, issued by Hamilton Island Enterprises (HIE), you become legally bound by these terms and conditions. Gift vouchers may only be purchased for hotel accommodation on Hamilton Island. When purchasing a gift voucher, 100% of the voucher value must be paid upon purchase in order to receive your gift voucher. Once your request has been submitted online, please allow 2-3 working days for your gift voucher to be processed and a further 5-7 days if you have chosen for your voucher to be posted (available for qualia vouchers only). Current accommodation prices are valid for travel 1 April 2020 - 31 March 2021, subject to availability. For travel after 1 April 2021 prices are subject to change and will be confirmed by our reservations team upon submission. Redeeming a Gift Voucher:
All gift vouchers sold by Hamilton Island Enterprises. are subject to availability of hotel accommodation at the time of redeeming the gift voucher. All vouchers can only be redeemed directly with Hamilton Island Enterprises. and cannot be used as payment against a booking via a third party or travel agent. Accommodation availability is subject to change. We recommend for Gift vouchers to be redeemed at least four (4) weeks prior to the reservation arrival date, however note availability cannot be guaranteed. For stays during peak dates, we recommend bookings at least four (4) months prior to the reservation arrival date. We suggest if you plan to purchase a gift voucher for a date at short notice, you contact us by phone to ensure accommodation is available before completing the transaction. Accommodation reservations are not finalised until the voucher has been paid for in full and you have received an email confirmation outlining your booking details. Gift vouchers may not be redeemed for any airfares booked through Hamilton Island Enterprises..
Gift Voucher Cancellations and Refunds:
Refunds may be requested up to 14 days after the purchase date and may only be requested in writing by the purchaser. Refunds are only permitted for valid gift vouchers that have not been used or expired.
Accommodation Reservations - Cancellations & Amendments:
- Bookings made for dates outside of Festive Season (22 December 2020 - 9 January 2021) may be amended up until 14 days prior to arrival.
- Any amendments or cancellations made within 14-8 days prior to arrival will be subject to a cancellation fee of 20% of the total reservation value.
- Cancellations or amendments made within 7 days prior to arrival are not permitted and will be subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the total reservation value.
- Bookings made for dates within the Festive Season (22 December 2020 - 9 January 2021) may be amended up until 1 November and non refundable after.
Gift Voucher Upgrades & Extensions to the Purchase Value:
The purchaser or recipient of a gift voucher has the ability to request an upgrade or extension on the number of nights purchased at an extra cost and subject to availability. The gift voucher recipient may be able to pay the difference in accommodation value. Should the recipient wish to stay in alternative accommodation that has a nightly rate less than what the voucher is worth, no refunds or exchanges will be made for the difference in value of the purchased gift voucher. (extra person charges may apply).
Changes to Gift Vouchers:
Hamilton Island Enterprises. reserves the right to change rates of accommodation without notice. All rates include Goods & Services Tax (GST). All valid and wholly unused gift vouchers are fully transferrable to another name. Hamilton Island Enterprises. accepts no responsibility for any stolen or fraudulent gift vouchers and it is the purchaser and recipient’s responsibility to ensure the safe keeping of the gift voucher(s).
Lost or Stolen Gift Vouchers:
If a Hamilton Island gift voucher is received and subsequently lost or stolen, only the purchaser may be eligible to have a replacement voucher emailed to them. In order for a replacement to be sent, the voucher must not have been exchanged (wholly or in part) or expired and proof of purchase must be provided by presenting the gift voucher number. Requests for replacement gift vouchers must be made in writing from the purchaser’s email address to online@hamiltonisland.com.au.
Expiry Date of Gift Vouchers:
Hamilton Island gift vouchers must be used within 12 months of purchase date. Gift vouchers are non-refundable once expired and any unused value at the date of expiry will become the property of Hamilton Island Enterprises. Hamilton Island Enterprises. is under no obligation to offer an extension, however requests may be reviewed closely by the Reservations team via email at online@hamiltonisland.com.au.
Restrictions:
Gift vouchers may only be purchased for hotel accommodation on Hamilton Island. Age restrictions apply to guests of the Beach Club (18 years and over) and qualia (16 years and over). Gift vouchers may also be subject to a maximum occupancy per room. These restrictions will also be outlined on the relevant Gift Voucher.
Hamilton Island Enterprises. may collect personal information subject to their Privacy Policy. Hamilton Island Enterprises. Privacy Policy is available at www.hamiltonisland.com.au/privacy-policy. Purchasers and guests are subject to these Terms and Conditions and consent to the use of their personal information in accordance with Hamilton Island Enterprises. Privacy Policy.
Hamilton Island Enterprises. reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice and the version date will be shown at the bottom of the Terms and Conditions.
To the extent permitted by law, Hamilton Island Enterprises. and their related entities are not liable to any person for any loss or damage (including direct or consequential loss), nor will they be in default of these Terms and Conditions for failure to observe or perform any of their obligations under these Terms and Conditions, for any reason or cause, which could not, with reasonable diligence, be controlled or prevented.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia and the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland will apply where there is any dispute.
