Staff arrivals, inductions and uniform policy
You’ve secured your dream job, packed your bags, and are now stepping off the plane in the beautiful Whitsundays.
So, what happens next?
When you arrive
You’ll be met at the airport by your On-Boarding Manager. For orientation, you need to arrive only on a Monday or Tuesday.
Your On-Boarding Manager will help you:
- Complete the rest of your employment documentation (please ensure your necessary documents and photo ID are easily accessible in your hand luggage).
- Collect your staff identification card and uniform.
- Get familiar with your surroundings.
- Find your way back to the ferry departure point if you are living on the mainland, or show you to your accommodation if you will be living on the island.
Your first days
If you are living on the island, you will spend Monday and Tuesday settling into your new home, completing your paperwork, collecting your uniforms and ensuring all your essential pre-employment preparation is complete.
On Wednesday, you will participate in our induction program, which gives you an overview of the company structure and policies (including customer service and personal grooming standards, rules and regulations, workplace health and safety), our island values, and all the benefits of being part of our team.
Your Department Manager will introduce you to your workplace and colleagues, and provide you with your roster. Depending on your position, you may also participate in further training programs before starting work in your workplace. These details will be provided to you upon your arrival.
Grooming and uniform policy
Your personal grooming, hygiene and presentation are very important in providing an outstanding holiday experience for our guests. While on duty, employees must not have any visible offensive or obscene tattoos, and visible body piercings (including tongue studs) must be removed. The full grooming policy (including other jewellery and hygiene specifications) is provided on arrival. View the complete Grooming Policy.
Unless you are specifically told to bring your own uniform, you will be provided with a uniform.
