The Hamilton Island Business Events team recently hosted a group of eight corporate event planners on a guided tour through offerings for large conferences, exhibitions & incentives.   The business trip included a site inspection of our conference facilities, including the 1,000 seated capacity Conference Centre and qualia, Hamilton Island, a formal dinner at the #HamiltonIslandYachtClub, a casual beach BBQ at our newest venue, the Beach Pavilion, a tour of the #HamiltonIslandGolfCourse on neighbouring #DentIsland, and a cruise to the spectacular #WhitehavenBeach.    Thank you to our guests for taking the time to visit our little piece of paradise in the #Whitsundays and to AVPartners and Cruise Whitsundays for their support.   #queensland #australia #businessevents #destinationevents

World-class events set against a backdrop of sail-silhouetted seas – seamlessly orchestrated by our dedicated team, #HamiltonIslandRaceWeek is Australia’s premier offshore yachting regatta. This highly-anticipated annual event brings spectators and yachties to the #Whitsundays for an exciting line up of on and offshore events. Last month, the 38th edition of Hamilton Island Race Week welcomed more than 2000 sailors across a sailing fleet almost 180 strong.    The island’s tranquil grounds and surrounds were transformed into a vibrant hub of activity. From long languorous lunches to exclusive dinners, masterfully crafted by acclaimed chefs Guillaume Brahimi, Will Cowper & qualia’s executive chef, John Kennedy. The festivities extended onto the soft sand and into the island’s blue waters with pool parties, and unforgettable evenings of entertainment, including a Mexican Fiesta hosted by Casamigos Tequila.   We were proud to once again partner with SCOTT JOHN MAGGS and the Skin Check Champions for the sixth consecutive year. During Race Week, Scott and his team conducted 611 free educational skin checks and referred 401 suspect lesions for treatment, including 21 potential melanomas. A sincere thank you to all who contributed to making Hamilton Island Race Week 2023 one to remember, including Nautilus Marine Insurance, Paspaley, Tanqueray, Tourism and Events Queensland, Hahn, Piper Heidsieck, Robert Oatley Wines, Mecca Cosmetica, Maui Jim and AVPartners

Reinforcing our commitment to supporting mental health amongst employees.    Recently, staff were encouraged to participate in a range of fun and informative activities conducted as part of Queensland Mental Health Week.    Highlights included a moving presentation by guest speaker, ‘Beyond Blue’ representative, James Hill, who spoke about his journey of hope, recovery and resilience from anxiety and depression, an information session conducted by Whitsunday Counselling and two relaxing group sunset yoga sessions by Catseye Beach.

Bommie Restaurant, Hamilton Island’s signature fine dining restaurant, set in the Hamilton Island Yacht Club, is proudly a winner in the 2024 Australian Good Food Guide Awards, receiving a Chef’s hat for the second consecutive year. Congratulations to Bommie’s Head Chef Alice James, Restaurant Manager Ashlea Walters, and their teams on receiving this prestigious award. Did you know? ‘Bommie’ takes its name from the Aboriginal word ‘bombora’ – a marine haven where tropical fish feed and play. What a weekend we’ve just had with the Hamilton Island Triathlon and Ocean Swim, the final events of the 2023 Hamilton Island Endurance Series. Two days filled with anticipation, feats of endurance, personal bests and a new course record, set against the beautiful backdrop of #hamiltonisland 🏅Congratulations to all the athletes who participated and thank you for making the trip to Hamilton Island this year.
