Tour Desk Terms & Conditions

  1. This is a tour request not an instant booking. Your tour is not confirmed until payment is received and you have received a confirmation email for the Hamilton Island Tour Desk. 
  2. If you believe that there has been an error in charging your credit card, you should notify us directly on +61 7 4946 8305 or tourbookings@hamiltonisland.com.au. Please notify us in writing as soon as possible so that we can resolve your query promptly. Alternatively, you can take it up directly with your financial institution.
  3. Once you receive your confirmation email, please check all details are correct. If you believe there has been an error, please notify us directly on +61 7 4946 8305 or tourbookings@hamiltonisland.com.au
  4. Once you arrive to Hamilton Island, please make your way to the Tour Desk to collect your ticket/s and meeting information. Without a ticket, you may be refused travel. For your convenience we have two Tour Desk locations:  
    • Resort Centre Tour Desk next to Sails Restaurant 
    • Reef View Hotel Tour Desk in the Hotel Lobby
  5. As departure times can change, it is very important that you pick up your ticket in advance as this will reflect the correct departure times.
  6. Meeting details for this tour will be confirmed upon collection of your tickets at the Tour Desk.
  7. Third party operators may vary pricing and departure times and the Hamilton Island Tour Desk encourages you to review the specific terms and conditions applicable to third party operators via http://www.hamiltonisland.com.au/things-to-do. Hamilton Island Enterprises Limited (HIE) activities may also vary pricing and departure times. Pricing for existing bookings will be honoured.
  8. Itineraries and vessels may change as required due to tides, weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. We recommend you obtain Travel Insurance. HIE is not responsible for any loss arising out of any occurrences or conditions beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of terrorism, act of God, defects in vehicles, war, strikes, theft, delay, cancellation, civil disorder, disaster, Government regulations or changes in itinerary or schedule.
  9. Cancellation policies apply and are unique to each tour operator. Please refer to the policy outlined on our website for your specific tour. The best way to navigate to this is via http://www.hamiltonisland.com.au/things-to-do 
  10. Cancellations must be made either by telephone or in person at the Tour Desk (Resort Centre opening hours 7am – 7pm). Cancellation notification by email cannot be accepted. In order to receive a refund, you must be outside the cancellation policy.

    All refunds are to be obtained from the Tour Desk either in person or by phone call, returned in the same form as original payment.

  13. Hamilton Island Enterprises Limited and its related entities (“HIE”) operates an outlet in the resort centre known as the “Tour Desk”. HIE acts as an agent only for concessionaire businesses on Hamilton Island and subsequently takes bookings for guests and visitors of Hamilton Island.
  14. The third-party activities are not operated by HIE. The businesses conducting these activities are operated and owned by independent concessionaires.
  15. As noted above concessionaires may have their own terms and conditions of contract and / or carriage relating to the activities.
  16. To the extent permitted by the law, you agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless, HIE and its current and former officers, employees, contractors, sub-contractors/consultants (including their respective employees and contractors) and agents against, from and in respect of all expenses, costs, liabilities, claims, actions, proceedings, damages, judgments and losses of any kind whatsoever (including but not limited to consequential and economic losses, property loss/damage and damages for injury, including personal injury and death) arising out of, caused by, attributable to or resulting from the activities except to the extent such expense, cost, liability, claim, action, proceeding, damage, judgement or loss arose out of, was caused by, attributable to or resulted from HIE's negligence, wrongful act/omission or breach of these terms and conditions.
  17. To the extent permitted by law the aggregate of HIE's liability to you is limited to an amount not exceeding the amount paid by you for your booking.
  18. Each indemnity in these terms and conditions is a continuing and independent obligation and survives the termination or expiry of these terms and conditions.
