Bommie is led by award-winning Executive Chef Ryan Locke, whose modern Australian menu champions native ingredients, peak season regional produce and a true sense of place. Located within the sculptural Hamilton Island Yacht Club, Bommie is the island’s signature dining destination.
Bommie takes its name from the Aboriginal word “bombora”, a term for the vibrant, shallow reef formations that surround Hamilton Island, often visible from Bommie Deck at low tide.
What makes dining at Bommie exceptional:
- A modern Australian menu celebrating seasonal, sustainable and locally sourced produce, crafted by Executive Chef Ryan Locke.
- Choice of Tasting Menu or Chef’s Signature Degustation - a deeper, curated progression.
- Optional wine pairings that highlight the depth and character of each course.
- Breathtaking views over Dent Passage and the Whitsundays, with striking floor-to-ceiling sculptures by artist Glenn Murray complementing the contemporary design.
- For special occasions, the Black Coral private dining room offers an intimate setting for up to 16 guests for exclusive use.
- Recognised by the Australian Good Food Guide with a Chef Hat for three consecutive years (2023–2025) and two Chef Hats for 2026
