Yacht Club Villas

The villas were gorgeous. The mid-stay clean was a thoughtful touch and was greatly appreciated. The supplied toiletries, coffee, kitchen and laundry supplies were excellent. Wine and fruit on arrival was unexpected and helped create an even more positive first impression. We were collected from the airport by Ash who made our arrival seamless and instantly relaxing- the arrival alone would be a reason to return, especially with small children. We were incredibly impressed by all the staff we encountered- all were friendly, professional and happy to be working on Hamilton Island- it's clear that as an employer the Island is getting it right, and that directly translates to an improved experience for guests so well done there! Despite less than ideal weather we had a wonderful experience- especially when we discovered the Reef View pool was heated! My only suggestion would be to consider heating another pool- it was a shame to not be able to swim at the yacht club villa pool. Overall an excellent holiday that we look forward to repeating many times in the future.

qualia

You took such beautiful care of all our needs. We loved the free non-alcoholic drinks, the ice cream by the pool and use of buggies. These inclusions really made a difference. The champagne on arrival was amazing, something we won't forget.

Reef View Hotel

Reef View Hotel is lovely. Organised when booking in or booking out of the room. Everyone was friendly from the cleaners, the waiters in the dining room and the reception staff. I loved the view from our room. (520).

qualia

Privacy when required. Excellent food and wines.Service by all the staff incredibly courteous, prompt attention to requests. I noted this did not change when I observed the service given to a rather rude, demanding gentleman at Pebble Beach restaurant - the staff were admirable. We enjoyed the drinks with meeting the manager and the opportunity to speak to the chef and compliment him directly on our enjoyment of his creative degustation meals.

Reef View

The staff were fantastic - all so very friendly and helpful from bus transfer to check-in to housekeeping etc. The lady at check in was very sympathetic to our request for quiet room away from families etc. and suggested breakfast at Sails as quieter - this was a fantastic recommendation :-) very grateful. We loved the room and view - BUT did not sleep very well at all due to the weird whistling whining noise we assume was caused by the wind. We thought it was just coming from the elevator cables but think on the last day we worked out it was our balcony door as well - was such a shame as really annoying and took the edge off an otherwise perfect short break. We were in room 1620 which was high up and so the wind was probably more of an issue because of that - could hear it in the corridor as well - not just our room. Would put us off staying again in case we had same issue in another room (was nice to be higher up and away from kids/families so would be reluctant to stay on lower level). Otherwise the stay was great but not sleeping at night especially with a day of travelling either side of our short break is not ideal.

Palm Bungalow

Spacious, beautiful and relaxing accommodation. Loved the hammock at the front, so beautiful to just lie around on the hammock. To note that the toilet felt very closed in with only a very small window when the door to it was closed.
