Passenger ferry services are based at the Hamilton Island Marina. The ferry trip from Shute Harbour on the mainland takes just 30 minutes, with more than a dozen services throughout the day. Tour operators offering excursions to Whitehaven Beach, the Great Barrier Reef and other Whitsunday Islands are also depart from the marina.
If you’re sailing to Hamilton Island in your own yacht, the Hamilton Island Marina has convenient berths located beside the Hamilton Island Yacht Club. As the base for your boating holiday in the Whitsundays, the Marina has a full range of marine facilities and services.

Hamilton Island Marina is a recognised 'Superport' and has the following facilities and services available
The marina has a fully operational and very well-equipped boat yard with a travel lift which can lift and rack vessels up to 60 tonne. Our preferred operators can provide the following service:
Bookings for berthing are required prior to arrival and can be arranged by contacting Hamilton Island Marina.
All berthing fees are to be paid in advance. Casual berthing fees will be collected by the marina concierge on the dock. Long term visitors need to complete the berthing agreement and pay fees at the office. We accept Visa/Mastercard (1.25% Additional Charges apply); Amex/Diners (3.36% Additional charges apply); or Eftpos (no charges apply).
