Online entries close Monday 16 November, 5.00pm. Race entries will be capped for this event. Should the quota not be reached then entries will be accepted up to and including race day.

Swim – 750m in Catseye Bay
Bike – 20km utilising southern part of Hamilton Island and Airport Runway
Run – 5km utilising Marina and Resort sides of Hamilton Island
Individual Competitors must be a minimum of 14 years old as 31 December 2015. Team Competitors must be a minimum of 12 years old as at 31 December 2015.
No qualification required. First 3 across the line. Open place getters are not eligible for age group prize.

Pre Event Participation
You must ensure that you have trained sufficiently and are physically capable of completing the event within your current level of health and fitness. You must also ensure at all times during the event that you are performing well within your level of skill and ability for each of the three disciplines. To not abide by these conditions can create potentially dangerous situation for yourself and other competitors.
Race Kit Collection
Race Kit collection times will be Friday 20 November, 3pm - 6pm at the Bougainvillaea Marquee. IT IS COMPULSORY FOR ALL TRIATHLETES TO REGISTER DURING THIS TIME. Please bring a printed copy of your receipt.
- You must show identification (Drivers License, Passport etc)
In your Race Kit you will receive race briefing notes (please read thoroughly), race numbers, sponsor product and your event shirt. You will also receive your timing chip at Race Kit Collection. Teams will receive 1 bag per team member. Teams will receive 1 x timing chip per team (ALL Team members must wear the timing band, passed from each team member like a relay baton). It is only necessary for one team member to register for their team; however, they must be able to pass on the team kit to the other team members before the race start.
Race Briefing / Race Start
You will receive a written race briefing at registration – Please read carefully. There will be a pre-race briefing on Friday 20 November at 4.15pm for all competitors in the Endeavour Room, located next to Sails Restaurant.
Athletes are to bring their bikes to the briefing. This will follow an OPTIONAL bike course famil at 4.30pm, which will consist of one loop of the bike course at your own pace.
Bike Check and Transition
It is compulsory for all individual competitors and at least one team member to rack check and rack your bike.
Bike racking - Friday 20 November, 5.00pm - 6.30pm, Resort Drive (further details provided at Race Kit Collection).
Security guards are on duty in the Transition area from 5.00pm Friday evening until transition opens on Saturday morning at 5.00am. Security chains are recommended.
6.30am Race Starts - WAVE 1 - Females and Teams

Withdrawals prior to the event must be in writing – email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you withdraw on race day before race start, please advise an Official at the Registration and Information Desk, Bougainvillea Marquee. The cancellation fee is 100% should you withdrawal on race day. If you withdraw during the race, please report to the closest official and advise that you have withdrawn.

Should you cancel your registration prior to event you will charged 50% of your entry fee up until 5pm on Friday 30 October 2015. NO REFUND will be applicable after 5pm Friday 30 October 2015.
Non drafting on the cycle course will apply and there WILL be Officials policing this on the course. Wetsuits will be allowed for the swim course. The water temperature will be approx 23 degrees. Any Athlete seen to be taking a shortcut during the event will be disqualified.
For safety reasons you must have begun you’re final airport run (13.3km into the bike course) by 7.47am to allow us to hand back the runway to authorities for its intended use! Failure to clear Gate 1 by this time will result in a DNF. You may however proceed back to the transition area and complete the run leg.
Changes to Entry
Changes can be made to your race entry prior to the event day via your event website login.
This is a sanctioned event. However, It is strongly advised that you take out personal medical insurance for the duration of your stay, especially for international competitors. Under the Australian Health Act, all non-Australians are not covered financially for personal injury. If you do have an accident you must pay for your own medical expenses. Therefore it is essential for you to obtain adequate personal medical insurance.
Hamilton Island will provide complimentary bike freight from Brisbane to Hamilton Island and return to all competitors. To register your interest in this service and for Freight Information please contact the Hamilton Island Events Team – email@example.com
Race Results will be posted at the Bougainvillaea Marquee prior to race presentations commencing. Results will also be available via the Hamilton Island website on the day following the event.
Prize money and great products to be won.
There must be a minimum of five (5) participants in the one category to qualify for prizes.
Race Presentations will be held at the Bougainvillea Marquee, Saturday 21 November 2015, 12.30pm - 1.30pm. Food stalls and cash bar will be available.
