5 things to do when the sun goes down at night on Hamilton Island

The fun doesn’t stop on Hamilton Island when the sun goes down. With a range of after dark activities for all ages, we’ve compiled our top five things to do for your evening’s entertainment, when visiting Hamilton Island:
 

1) Live music 

Live music is one of our guest’s most beloved experiences on Hamilton Island. Most nights you’ll find, an island favourite delivering the hits and an awesome atmosphere at one of our evening venues.  It could be sunset tunes at Marina Daze, unwinding after dinner at the Reef Lounge or meeting up with friends at Marina Tavern.

2) Outdoor movie night 

Night time is also known as movie time on Hamilton Island. When the sun sets and darkness falls, our outdoor movie theatre is ready to put on a show. Come down to the marina where the big screen is set up under the stars. You can throw down a picnic blanket, lay out some snacks and be entertained by a movie chosen to be fun for all ages (generally PG).  And the icing on the cake - it’s a free event for anyone on the island. 3) Take the gang bowling 

Not just an activity for rainy-days, our bowling alley is fun for everyone and a great group activity at night time, staying open till 9.00pm. The bowling alley transforms in the evening with state-of-the-art lighting and glow in the dark lanes, pins and bowling balls. With crowd pleasing party tunes and a licensed bar, it’s a great place to have a laugh, get competitive and test your skills. Who will be crowned the bowling champ in your group?
 

4) Trivia 

A Monday night isn’t complete without heading to the Marina Tavern for our regular Trivia Night.  It’s available to guests who are 18+ and is perfect for after dinner entertainment. So, get a group of mates together and test out your knowledge on a range of topics. The main aim is to have a bit of fun, but there is also a swag of prizes to be won… plus the honour of being Hamilton Island Trivia Champions.
 

5) Dance into the wee hours at Garden Bar 

There’s something about a Friday or Saturday night which demands a night cap and dance. Your go-to spot for cocktails, a fun vibe and DJ music on Hamilton Island is the always popular Garden Bar.
 
This vibrant and popular late-night venue, set overlooking the marina on Front Street, is the perfect place for those looking to kick off their heels and party.
