Lola Berry’s Hamilton Island Essentials Posted 26 June 2017 Feeling burnt out? Finding it hard to unplug and switch off? Not sure how to stay healthy on holidays? We sat down with Australia’s “Steve Irwin of Nutrition”, aka Lola Berry, at our recent Endurance series weekend and got her advice on how we can all get more out of our holidays. Was this your first time to Hamilton Island? Yes, it sure was! Hands up if you love Hamilton Island! When you travel, what always makes its way into your suitcase? My yoga gear, raw chocolate and my French press and coffee! Ha-ha, I’ve turned into quite the coffee nerd lately! Lola packs her holiday essentials. You came to Hamilton Island to be part of our Endurance series Weekend. What was your favourite part of the weekend? Meeting the inspiring people who each had a different story to tell and something cool to share! It’s [Hamilton Island] also very pretty and magical. So, it was very cool to be around so much nature! I love moving my body each morning, and nothing needs to change on holidays. Make your own omelette at the egg station at brekkie, so you can get lots of greens in first thing and most importantly, don’t beat yourself up if you have a treat. Enjoy it mindfully - soak up every bite and mouthful! Lola meets the locals while at Beach Club resort. What about unplugging and getting into relaxed holiday mode… what can people do? Get out into nature, see the sunshine, read a book, have a massage, do something just for you. Bend it like Lola at Beach Club resort. You got to see the Great Barrier Reef on your trip here... how would you describe that experience? I mean it’s just so stunning. It’s such a pretty part of the world and I feel very lucky to have visited. So magical! Lola’s breathtaking moment flying over the Great Barrier Reef from Hamilton Island. If you had a friend coming to Hamilton Island what would you say was the number one thing they should do when here? See the reef from the sky! Get out amongst nature and breathe in the fresh air!
