Sainath – Operations Manager, Hamilton Island Holiday Homes

Sainath moved to Hamilton Island to be with his partner—and stayed to build an incredible career. He started in Housekeeping and worked across Front Office and Minibar before rising to Executive Housekeeper, then Executive Assistant Manager. He’s now Operations Manager at Holiday Homes, continuing to grow with the support of an inspiring team.



Dominique – HR Special Projects Manager

Dominique came to Hamilton Island from the Netherlands after falling in love with the idea of working at qualia. She’s progressed from housekeeping to HR and now leads strategic people initiatives across the business. Her story shows just how far you can go when you combine operational knowledge with a passion for people.



Joshua – Executive Chef, qualia

After working in top Sydney kitchens, Josh joined Hamilton Island over a decade ago and never looked back. Now Executive Chef at qualia, he’s built a culture of teamwork and excellence in the kitchen while embracing island life, mentoring others, and continuing to grow in one of the most beautiful places in the world.



Taylah – Trainee Manager 

Taylah joined Hamilton Island in 2017 and returned in 2021 to pursue her career through the Hotels Leadership Development Program. With a background in Front Office, she’s taken on a secondment as Acting Executive Housekeeper at Reef View Hotel, gaining invaluable cross-department experience and working toward her next big career goal.



Ryan – Executive Chef, Bommie and Beach Club Restaurant

From a small kitchen in Taupō to some of Australia’s top fine-dining restaurants, Ryan’s journey has been driven by curiosity, creativity, and a love for the craft. Now Executive Chef at Bommie and Beach Club Restaurant, he brings a clean, regionally inspired style to every plate—celebrating local produce, native ingredients, and the unique stories of the Whitsundays.
