Catseye Beach Ocean Swim
Saturday 21 November 2020
Due to social distancing requirements and as the safety of participants is our priority, we have made the decision to host the traditional Whitehaven Beach Ocean Swim on Catseye Beach this year. Given this change, the Ocean Swim will now take place on the afternoon of the 21st of November.
The event will inclue a 2km and 750m and 750m ocean swim meet, plus a fun 350m junior swim for children 13 years and under.
What better location for an ocean swim event than at one of Australia’s most pristine and iconic beaches, Whitehaven Beach. World famous for its pristine white sand stretching for seven empty kilometres and crystal-clear water, Whitehaven Beach is on neighbouring Whitsunday Island and is regularly voted one of the world’s top beaches. Nestled in the beautiful surrounds of the Great Barrier Reef, one of the world’s seven natural wonders, this annual 2km and 750m ocean swim meet, plus a fun 350m junior swim for children 13 years and under, is sure to become as iconic and famous as its location.
The 2020 event guide will be available closer to the event.
